FACILITIES & PROPERTY TECHNICIAN
Job Description:
Will serve as a logistician to assist in performing
property management to the Battle Command Training Branch (BCTB) that
supports over 65 Department of the Army Civilians, military, and supporting
contractors. Individual will use the Unit Level Logistics Supply System
(ULLS) - S4, or an equivalent Property Management System (PMS) to support
accountability and management of the property book for capital and
non-expendable equipment, authorization documentation, inventories, and hand
receipts. Work in close coordination with the BCTB Property Manager and
BCTC Facilities Manager regarding equipment and facility issues.
Special Tasks:

Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to the Branch Property
Manager on specific matters as it relates to accountability and property
management issues for the Center.

Provide guidance, enforce policies and procedures for property
accountability throughout the BCTB.

Supports the Property Manager in all property accountability
matters. Assist the BCTC Hand Receipt Holders, Class Instructors, System
Developers, WEB Designers, Technicians and Staff personnel in maintaining
property accountability.

Establish and maintain asset visibility, cross-leveling assets to
effectively utilize equipment, and prevent financial waste throughout the
Branch.

Initiates HAZMAT Supply requests and monitors the purchases and
consumption of hazardous materials.

Coordinates with Installation Transportation Office and initiates
shipping documents for BCTB Equipment when shipped form one military
installation to another installation, or commercial activity.

Prepares requisitions, invoice/shipping documents and lateral
transfers for Contractor acquired and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).

Coordinates for installation support when required, i.e., Training
Aides Support Center (TASC), Directorate of Public Works (DPW),
Transportation Motor Pool (TMP), Publications Warehouse, Directorate of
Logistics (DOL), HAZMAT and the Defense Re-Utilization Marketing Office
(DRMO).

Conduct spot-check inventories by ensuring 10% (Monthly) Cyclic and
Sensitive Item Inventories are being conducted by all activities within the
BCTC. Maintain a file copy of these inventory results in the Property
Management Office.

Performs duties as the BCTC Fire Marshall, to include conducting
equipment inspections and working in concert with the BCTC Facilities
Manager by providing assistance when required.

Assist the BCTC Facilities Manager with conducting Key Control
Inventories and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Qualifications:
Possess from six to eight years
experience working in a battalion/brigade S-4 staff, or division property
book office using ULLS-S4, or Standard Property Book System-Enhanced
(SPBS-R). Be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Have a thorough understanding
of logistic management principles, terminology, policies and regulations as
applicable to U.S. Army equipment. Be familiar with the U.S. Army
logistical processes in property book management, impact credit card
procedures, maintenance procedures, and retail supply operations as well as
the corresponding logistical management challenges. Must be able to handle
multiple assign tasks and accomplish them in a timely and accurate manner.
Will operate automated logistics programs, tools, and interpret the data
produced. Have experience in using Microsoft Work, PowerPoint, Excel, and
Outlook software programs. Must have and maintain a valid state driver's
license and the capability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
